11 Countries, 11 Months, One MK

Not long after I returned from Uganda, I learned that one of my Alpha Delta Pi sisters was preparing for the mission trip of a lifetime. I am so proud and blessed to have this unique young woman not only as my sorority sister but also as my sister in Christ.

The first time I met MK was at an Equestrian Team Competition here at UT Martin. It was freezing cold and one of our sisters was competing in the outdoor arena. We wanted to support our sister but the temperature forced us to take refuge in MK's Hummer. I was an a freshman and the youngest of our sisters there. I was too busy trying to stay warm to carry on much conversation though. It was a great day nevertheless and I will always remember that one time we went to the horse competition and almost froze. But MK saved the day!

 

The World Race is an eleven month mission trip to eleven countries. One of these countries is Uganda, a country I hold dear to my heart. The other countries are: Kenya, Rwanda, Honduras, Nicaragua, Cambodia, Costa Rica, India, Thailand, Nepal and Malaysia. The cost of this mission trip is $15,500. MK has done an amazing job at reaching her goal! I am so proud of all that she has accomplished. But she needs help to get that extra "umph" to go with her great "tri" so that the results will be

TRIUMPH!
