"We went to Masese 3 which is the latest development of Masese. We went to Masese 1 yesterday. That's the "richer" part of Masese. It's still poverty but it's like rich poverty. When we arrived, Godfrey greeted us. Godfrey is amazing, handsome and very intelligent. He translated today. Also, the women performed a skit for us. It was great. Godfrey was the narrator and five women were the actresses. They told a story of about how someone could replace Jesus in their lives. I loved it! Then the women danced and sang for us. It was an honor. After the women sang, six children sang and it was like God speaking. After that we took the kids to the side while Tine gave a Bible study to the women. The kids, oh my gosh. They had snotty noses, crusty eyes, ringworm, lice and who knows what else but they took my heart. One of the boys just stole my heart completely. I'll call him Samson. Samson would not let go of my hand. Also, there was a girl who was carrying a baby on her back and in a lavender shirt. I think she'll be at church Sunday too. Okay, Samson is called that because I taught him how to roar like a lion. It made me day! Also, when the games started the kids had more fun swinging on my arms instead of paying attention to the games. After the games, we joined the women, Tina and the four adults of Team 1. That's where I taught Samson to raor like a lion. Also, when the women and kids were singing, another girl with a baby on her back came up to me. She had the most beautiful laugh. I told her and she just smiled. She also told me how to say lion in Lugandan. I can't remember it now though. Leaving Masese was so bad in that I didn't want to. After we left I had handprints and red dirt smears all over my arms and shirt."
